What is an Independent Educational Consultant [IEC] or
College Admissions Coach [CAC] and why should you hire one? 
As your CAC, my primary responsibility is to guide you through the admissions process.  Together we explore what choices are available to you by understanding your particular needs and dreams for the next chapter of your academic life.   In order to do this, we become a team with you, the student, at the center.   The CAC works directly with the student, so the parents/families can provide their supportive role as part of Team Student.  The CAC takes the pressure off parents/families to understand this complex and often confusing process.  As “Team Student” we manage and navigate your options for:

  • Creating your college list
  • Managing Application[s]
  • Writing the Essay[s]
  • Making the most of college visits [in person, virtual, or college fairs]
  • Financial considerations for your family
  • Sorting through the acceptance letters and making a final decision

Never hire an IEC who guarantees admissions or scholarship acceptance.  It is unethical and against all professional codes for Counselors and Independent Educational Consultants.
